Technical Datasheet ASOCRET-HS-FLEX Preparing the surface 1. Dense and smooth substrates must be roughened accordingly using suitable measures (e.g. sand, high-pressure, water or shot blasting). 2. The exposed reinforcing steels must be totally de-rusted and must be clear of dust and grease up to the standard cleanliness level SA 2.5 by suitable measures. 3. Dampen the pre-treated substrate sufficiently 24 hours and 2 hours before application. 4. Pre-moisten the dry substrate so that it is matt damp at the time of application.
Usage Mixing 1. Add ASOCRET-HS-FLEX with Corrosion protection: approx. 5.5 - 5.75 l / 25 kg or 1.3 - 1.4 l / 6 kg clean water to a mixing bucket and mix with a stirrer until free from lumps. 2. The mixing time is ca. 3 minutes. 3. Mix again after an activation time of 5 minutes.
Bond coat 1. ASOCRET-HS-FLEX is brushed into the prepared substrate with a hard broom in a single coat, down to the pores and such that it is full covering. 2. The repair mortar ASOCRET-BIS-5/40 must then be applied "wet in wet" in the required layer thickness. 3. In case of interruptions or after hardening, the bond coat must set completely. Application incl. bond coat must repeated after the corresponding waiting time.
Corrosion protection 1. ASOCRET-HS-FLEX is applied to the reinforcing steel with a brush in two application steps, ensuring full covering. 2. The second coat is applied after approx. 2 hours waiting time, when the first coat is brushable. 3. The repair mortar ASOCRET-BIS-5/40 can be applied approx. 6 hours after the second coat has hardened.
as a bond coat for CT-bonded screeds 1. Brush ASOCRET-HS-FLEX into the moistened substrate. 2. Apply the CT screed while still wet.
as contact slurry for use with the thick-bed method 1. Use a suitable trowel to apply the ASOCRET-HS-FLEX to the fresh mortar bed. 2. Within approx. 15–20 minutes, slide the tiles / boards into the fresh coat. 3. Knock the tiles / boards into place.
as contact slurry for use with the vibration method 1. Apply ASOCRET-HS-FLEX in the same way as in the thick-bed method. 2. Shake in using the usual method until the mortar bed begins to set. 3. ASOCRET-HS-FLEX is particularly well-suited to our special screed cements (ASO-EZ4, ASO®-SEB) and the derived pre-blended dry mortar with predetermined grading curve (ASO-EZ4-PLUS, ASO®-SEM).
Cleaning tools Rinse tools with water immediately after use.
Storage conditions Storage Cool, dry, protected from sunlight. Min. 12 months in the original container. Promptly use opened container.
Disposal Product leftovers can be disposed of in accordance with disposal code AVV 17 01 01.
Notes Before any concrete restoration measures, the current state must generally be checked by an expert and/or structural engineer. The test report must be made available to the processor before starting the restoration measures. Protect surfaces that are not to be treated from the effects of ASOCRET-HS-FLEX! Do not add water or new mortar to existing ASOCRET-HS-FLEX mortar that has already set in order to make it workable again. (Risk of inadequate strength development)
